History
40 years of the best people, best products and best choices, all for the best customers.
American Pressure, Inc., began in 1975 when Dave Speltz, founder of the company, worked for a company in Minneapolis that carried Electro-Magic pressure washers and steam cleaners. American Pressure was a spin-off company dedicated to pressure washers and related equipment, parts, chemicals and service. American Pressure began operating as a standalone company in April, 1976.
Dave and his wife, Marlene Speltz, grew the company from its humble beginnings subletting some warehouse space and selling their first pressure washer to becoming a respected distributor of many of the world’s highest quality brands of pressure washers. After 20 years of hard work and dedication to their customers, they retired and sold American Pressure to long time employees Gary and Becky Hagemann. The Hagemanns continued to drive business with their dedication to quality equipment, repair parts inventory, and the customers’ needs. The company was eventually sold again to long time employees Ben Hagemann and Josiah Hagemann, who look forward to improving on all American Pressure does for its customers.
From the start, American Pressure has carried the leading brands in the pressure washer market to offer quality equipment at a great value. Choice is important and from the early days of offering Electro-Magic, Steam Jenny, Mohawk and Spartan, they have improved to offer thier customers more choices to fit their needs. In the early 1980’s they added Landa, followed shortly by Alkota and then later Karcher as well as Mi-T-M and others. Their distribution relationships with General Pump, Cat Pumps, AR North America and others have helped them to offer in-plant systems and custom pumping systems for a variety of markets.
American Pressure has collaborated with many industry pioneers, innovators and partners to offer a broad selection of high pressure cleaning equipment, steam cleaners, ice dam steamers, pumps, hoses, nozzles, hose reels and other accessories. For the last forty years they have continuously improved the quality and variety of product offerings, while staying focused on what benefits their customers and their unique needs.
The history of the company is great and shows the hard work, innovation and dedication of the owners and employees of American Pressure. Going forward that will not change, they are continually investing in improvements and innovations. They have grown to a company of 17 employees, six of whom are dedicated to product repair and service. If there is a pump, pressure washer or spray wand in need of service, they will be a good resource for you to get your job done.
