This Month's Featured Equipment: Gear We're Genuinely Excited About

Posted by American Pressure Inc on 7th Jul 2026

Picking "featured products" can feel like a formality. Not this time. Every item on this list earns its spot because it solves a real problem we hear about constantly, whether that's a pump giving out mid-season, a hose reel that never quite reaches the truck, or a hydro-excavation job that's eating more time than it should.

Below, we walk through what each product actually does, who it's built for, and why it's worth a look.

Honda-Powered Hot Water Pressure Washers: Belt Drive vs. Direct Drive

If you're outfitting a mobile detailing rig, a fleet wash operation, or a farm that needs to blast caked-on grime off equipment, a hot water gas pressure washer is one of the best investments you can make. We're featuring two versions of our BE hot water unit this month, both powered by a Honda GX390 engine, both putting out 4,000 PSI at 4.0 GPM, and both heating water up to 200°F with a 330,000 BTU burner. The difference between them comes down to how the pump is driven, and that difference matters more than people expect.

BE - Belt Drive HW4013 (Honda, General Pump)

The BE Belt HW4013 is the machine to reach for if you want your pump to last as long as possible. Instead of connecting the engine directly to the pump shaft, a belt drive system spins the pump at a lower RPM. That one design choice lowers heat, reduces vibration, and takes real wear and tear off the pump over thousands of cycles.

Here's what comes with it:

  • Commercial-grade General triplex pump with a die-cast body, forged brass manifold, one-piece plungers, and a thermal release valve
  • External unloader for better cooling and longer pump life
  • Diesel-fired heating coil ignited by a 12V Becker burner, adjustable up to 200°F
  • 50-foot high-pressure hose, spray gun wand assembly, and five spray nozzles included
  • Powder-coated steel frame with four 13" flat-free tires and a roll cage that protects components while keeping everything accessible
  • Built-in lift point so it can be craned onto a truck or trailer, plus mounting brackets for permanent installation

If you want to level it up, the optional Upgrade Package adds a turbo nozzle, an integrated swivel to stop hose tangling, a 100-foot hose reel, a 100-foot premium 2-wire braid hose, our anti-fatigue AP-4850 trigger gun, and a variable pressure wand. It's the difference between a machine that works and one that's genuinely pleasant to use all day.

Priced at $5,949, with financing available for as low as $133.90/month.

BE - Direct Drive HW4013 (Honda, Comet Pump)

The BE Direct HW4013 shares the same Honda GX390 engine, the same 4,000 PSI / 4.0 GPM output, and the same 200°F diesel-fired heating system, but it couples the engine straight to a Comet pump instead of running it through a belt. That means a smaller footprint, a lower price point, and less to maintain mechanically, though the pump runs at higher RPM as a tradeoff.

It comes standard with the same commercial-grade accessories: a 50-foot hose, spray gun wand assembly, five nozzles, the powder-coated roll cage frame, and flat-free tires. If you want more reach and better hose management down the road, you can add the Upgrade Package (hose reel bracket, 5-foot jumper hose, HP live swivel, and an upgraded 100-foot pivoting hose reel) for an additional $899.

Priced at $4,999, financing available from $121.50/month.

Which One Should You Buy?

Think of it this way: if the machine is going to run for hours a day, every day, during peak season, the belt drive is worth the extra investment because it directly extends pump life. If it's more occasional use, a backup unit, or budget is the deciding factor, the direct drive gets you the same cleaning power and the same hot water output for less money up front. Both ship flat rate to the lower 48 (unfortunately, neither can ship to California).

Annovi Reverberi RRV4G40-VRT-PKG: The "Plug and Go" Pump Replacement

Not every job calls for a whole new machine. Sometimes your engine is fine and it's the pump that's shot. That's exactly the gap the AR RRV4G40-VRT-PKG fills.

This is a "Ready To Go" triplex pump built to bolt onto most 13 HP gas engines with a 1-inch horizontal shaft, delivering 4.0 GPM at 4,000 PSI. Unlike a bare replacement pump, it arrives fully assembled with everything you need to get back to work the same day:

  • Garden hose inlet and quick-connect outlet
  • Bypass hose with a thermal relief valve
  • External unloader valve (VRT3-310 EZ Start)
  • Brass line strainer with cone filter
  • 3/8" QC brass socket and steel plug

No fabricating adapters, no hunting for extra fittings. You bolt it up, hook up the hose, and you're washing. It currently holds a 5-star review from a real customer who called it easy to install and easy to work with, which is exactly the kind of feedback you want on a pump that's meant to save you downtime, not add to it.

Priced at $444.99, this is one of the best value entries in our pump lineup if you're rebuilding a unit rather than replacing it outright.

Hydra-Flex Ripsaw Rotary Vacuum Excavation Nozzle: Built for Potholing

If your crew does hydro-excavation or utility potholing, you already know that nozzle choice can make or break your production rate. The Hydra-Flex Ripsaw with the heavy-duty coating is designed specifically for this kind of work.

It fires a 0° straight water stream at up to 3,200 PSI while rotating to produce an 18° cone of coverage, a pattern that's ideal for opening up ground quickly and consistently without gouging in one spot. What sets it apart from cheaper ceramic nozzles:

  • Stainless steel housing paired with a tungsten carbide wear tip for a longer service life in abrasive, rocky conditions
  • Non-conductive urethane coating that protects both your operator and any underground utilities nearby
  • Greater impingement force, which means you can often run a smaller nozzle size and still get the same cutting power as a nozzle with a higher flow rate

The heavy-duty coating specifically is formulated to hold up in frost, shale, and other harsh ground conditions, so if your crew works through Minnesota winters or rocky terrain, this is the version worth choosing over the standard coating. It's available in sizes from 3.0 up to 12.0 to match your flow requirements. One customer, a heating and air crew, put it simply: it "eats right through the ground fast" and has become a real time saver on site.

Priced at $393.60.

General Pump TSS1021: The Industry-Standard Triplex Workhorse

Some products earn their reputation simply by being everywhere, and the General Pump TSS1021 is one of them. It's a 47 Series triplex pump rated for 4.5 GPM at 3,500 PSI, and it's the pump you'll find at the heart of a huge share of commercial pressure washing setups for good reason.

What makes the 47 Series the go-to frame in this industry:

  • 24mm solid shaft with a forged brass manifold backed by a lifetime warranty
  • Solid ceramic plungers with continuously lubricated packings, which means they run cooler and last longer than lower-grade alternatives
  • Large-capacity, die-cast anodized aluminum oil-bath crankcase for consistent lubrication under load
  • Over-sized connecting rods and heavy-duty tapered roller bearings built for maximum service life
  • Unitized stainless steel inlet and discharge valves, designed to also handle suction applications

If you're rebuilding a rig, spec'ing out a new setup, or just need a dependable replacement pump that won't be the weak link in your system, this is about as proven as it gets. We're an authorized General Pump distributor, so you're getting the real thing backed by manufacturer support.

Priced at $549.00.

Why These Five, Specifically

Notice a pattern? Every product on this list solves a specific, practical problem: reliable heat and pressure in the field, a fast pump swap when your engine's still good, precision and durability for underground utility work, and a bulletproof pump frame you can build a whole system around. That's the filter we run every "featured" pick through. If it doesn't genuinely earn a spot on a working rig, it doesn't make the list.

If you're not sure which of these fits your specific setup, or you want to talk through belt drive versus direct drive, pump compatibility, or nozzle sizing for your excavation work, give us a call at (763) 521-4442 or stop by our shop at 3810 W Broadway Ave, Robbinsdale, MN. We'd genuinely rather talk you into the right piece of equipment than sell you the wrong one.
