The Great Minnesota Get Together started last Thursday and runs through Labor Day. Ben and Josiah attended the first day of the fair and Ben was interviewed on air at the BOB FM booth. • Second highest attended State Fair in the United States, Texas State Fair is #1 (only because it runs twice as long)
• Sweet Martha's Cookies is by far the highest selling vendor at the fair. In 2018, Sweet Martha's had 4.7 mil in sales while Mouth Trap Cheese Curds was second with 1.3 mil in sales. Even last year (2021) when attendance was down about 800k from 2019, Sweet Martha's still sold 3.3 mil while Mouth Trap was just over 900k in sales.
• Hamline Church Dining Hall is oldest food concession stand which began in 1897
• 3 million cookies made daily by Sweet Martha
• 25,000 ears of corn consumed daily from the Corn Roast
• The fairgrounds is 322 acres
• During the twelve days of the State Fair, it is the third largest city in Minnesota population wise, behind St. Paul and Minneapolis.
